Met Eireann warns of 13C swing in less than two days as freezing temperatures to return
While temperatures rose slightly over the past week, Met Eireann has predicted that the bitterly cold conditions are to return on Thursday night.A spokesman said: "Thursday is looking largely dry and bright with some sunshine breaking through."Turning cold on Thursday night, especially in the north and east where temperatures will drop back to between -3 and 0 degrees under clear skies, leading to frosty conditions.Meanwhile, Wednesday will see dry and bright spells with highs of 10C.
He added: "Wednesday night will be cloudy and mainly dry for much of the country. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in light breezes."
