It has now been extended
A warning of "extreme heat" in Leeds later this week that could cause a danger to life has been extended even further.
The warning covers Leeds and all of Yorkshire and the Met Office states that "exceptionally high temperatures are possible during Sunday and Monday and could lead to widespread impacts on people and infrastructure". It's also reported that there's a 30% chance that Sunday will be the hottest day ever recorded in the UK.It has said that the intense heat could lead to population-wide adverse health effects that are not limited to those most vulnerable to extreme heat.
