Mr Trump will be inaugurated as US President on Monday in Washington DC for a second term following his defeat of Joe Biden in November’s election.
Ireland will continue to “nurture” its relationship with the United States and he is “looking forward to working” with incoming US President Donald Trump .
Speaking at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis, Mr Martin said Ireland’s message will be that Ireland has “contributed significantly, not just to those companies, but to the American economy”.“The modern world is interdependent. Global trade means give and take, of that there is no doubt. Those are the messages that we'll be articulating.
