Joint managers are rare enough at senior inter-county level in the GAA, with Mickey Harte the latest as he joins Declan Kelly in Offaly.

It’s often only when two parties have worked together over a number of years that they can find enough common ground to make a joint-manager arrangement work. Otherwise, one figurehead is generally best.
