Men and Women who served in Vietnam were honored at the Miramar National Cemetery.
However, for many veterans, coming home was a difficult new reality fraught with pain and rejection. They said at the ceremony that two-thirds of our Vietnam Veterans have already died.
"There is a brain cell that sits in my mind that lies dormant and quiet. It's labeled Vietnam," Retired Army Master Sergeant Charlie Inot said. Retired Navy Commander Casey Meehan said talking with others who were in the country has helped her over the years.
