Miriam said she found it very strange to report on the RTÉ payments scandal and said she felt 'great shock' and then 'great sadness' when the news broke
RTE presenter Miriam O'Callaghan has opened up her true feelings of "great shock" and "great sadness" over the RTE payments scandal.
Miriam found it very strange to report on the RTE payments scandal during the summer and said she felt very sad for everyone involved. Was she afraid her name would come into it? The Prime Time host said: "I kind of 99.9% knew I would be fine, but always in life we are insecure and you think ‘Oh my God, did I do something wrong that will now come out?’She continued: "I knew pretty early on that they had done checks on all the top 10 presenters and they turned out clear.
"RTÉ is a wonderful place to work and it is full of great people. I love going into work everyday and I still love going in."It is an extraordinary organisation full of great people. I think people will rally and we will continue making great programmes." "Then I went on to have seven more so there has never been the right moment. I love Ireland and I love what I do. I feel very privileged to be here. I am staying here."
