Those on means-tested benefits should report a missing Cost of Living Payment if they haven't received it already

The government has issued new guidance for people who have not yet received their £324 Cost of Living Payment from the Department for Work and Pensions .

The second half of the payment, worth £650 in total, was given to people claiming means-tested benefits such as Universal Credit, Income-based JSA, Income-based ESA, Income Support, and Pension Credit. All eligible people were due to be paid by Wednesday, November 23, with the first half of payment being given to most last July.

For those receiving Tax Credits, their payments will be made by HM Revenue and Customs by November 30. According to the DWP, if you have not yet received either the first or second half of the cost of living payment, then you should report a missing payment to them.

You can do this via the DWP's website specifically for reporting a missing Cost of Living payment. Before filling in the form, make sure you have your National Insurance Number on hand as you will need it. The DWP also urges people to not report a missing payment more than once and that you will get a reply as soon as possible.
