Thanks to his family putting out an appeal on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork’s Red FM, John Joe Dahill was found after driving off in his son in law’s Jeep on Monday
An elderly man with dementia was found safe after his family made a public appeal on The Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM.
In a cruel twist of irony, Donal had had a tracker in the vehicle which would have quickly resolved the situation, but he had taken it out on Monday morning to charge it.The next morning after John Joe still wasn’t found, Donal appealed to the public for help on the Neil Prendeville Show after explaining the situation.
“The other problem we’re afraid of is his legs don’t work great, he doesn’t have his walker with him and to get out of the Jeep to use the toilet, he might have fallen and he might be on the ground. That’s the worst case scenario but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.” Donal came back on the show the following day to share the news that his father in law had been found safely in Kinsale.
