After the disappearance of This Morning, doctor Michael Mosley, the Mayor of Symi where he was holidaying has shared his fears for the star
The This Morning star was holidaying on the idyllic Greek island of Symi when his wife Clare reported him missing after he failed to return home from an outing to the beach. The family had been enjoying a day out on Wednesday when Michael left friends on Saint Nikolas Beach around 1pm before explaining he was heading back to where he was staying in Symi Town.
It comes as Greek authorities are using technology such as drones to continue to search the idyllic island which is set to face an extreme heat warning today . Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Niki Kitsantonis said: "There are fears that he might have slipped, it's quite rugged terrain in that area.
Michael is said to have been sighted in the area surrounding Pedi but it's believed he didn't have his phone on him during his hike home. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office stated: "We are supporting the family of a British man who is missing in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities."
He told the outlet: "It is a very small, controlled area, full of people so if something happened to him there, we would have found him by now." Greek authorities such as the police, Fire Brigade, Civil Protection Agency, police dogs and drones are now part of a mass search to find the medical expert.
