Infinity Ward has detailed the changes it’s made to Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer since the beta, including tweaks to footsteps and third-person aiming.

Changes include a shortening of footstep audio range, the addition of diamond icons above the heads of enemies, third-person mode no long aiming down sights, and various weapon tweaks.in an attempt to gain access early. If you do so, you risk being locked out of the game entirely until the official launch time in your region, according to the developer. We have added diamond icons above the heads of enemies. This should make it easier for players to clearly identify opponents in the game.

The in-world activation sound effect volume range for the Dead Silence field upgrade has been drastically decreased.Following feedback from Beta, aiming down sights will now stay in third person POV for low-zoom optics. Only high-zoom optics and special optics such as Hybrids and Thermals will revert to first person POV. We believe this will enhance the third person experience while keeping the gameplay balanced.
