The mom shared gruesome photos of her injuries after she was injured by the marine animal in knee-deep water at the beach.The incident happened off the coast of Apollo Beach in Tampa, FloridaOver the weekend, Florida woman Kristie O'Brien felt a sharp pain when she waded into the waters of Apollo Beach in Tampa and was shocked to find out the culprit
"As soon as I hit the water, I felt like I had been stung by something," O'Brien told Tampa Fox affiliateUnlike Irwin who died in 2006, O'Brien managed to survived, with the stingray just barely missing her lungs. When O'Brien came out of the water, her husband was horrified to see a live stingray dangling from her back.She estimated that it was lodged more than four inches deep in her back.
