The plaque in memory of Ashley McCluskey, who died almost 20 years ago in the same spot, was smashed to pieces in Monday's crash
The crash site where two teenage girls were killed in Monaghan this week is the exact same spot where another fatal road accident happened almost 20 years ago.
Pictures of the crash site from before the incident show the plaque in memory of Mr McCluskey erected on a brick wall in front of the tree, which can be seen smashed to pieces following Monday's crash. She told the Irish Independent: "Do more people need to die before there is movement on this? If there is something that will improve the situation and to prevent people dying, then it should happen."Two people died just days ago, and other people have died at the scene as well. No more people should die."Kiea's funeral took place at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Clones at 2pm this afternoon – with burial afterwards at Mount St Oliver’s Cemetery.
