More than 100 dead or missing in apocalyptic flooding and mudslides in Brazil
MORE than 100 people are dead or missing after apocalyptic floods sent huge mudslides tearing through Brazil.
As of Sunday afternoon, 56 people were confirmed dead in the state of Pernambuco after heavy downpours, while another 56 people are still missing.Torrential downpours in the north east of Brazil have caused major floodingOne person was also confirmed dead in the neighbouring state of Alagoas, according to a message posted on Twitter by the Federal Civil Defense service.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said he would arrive in Recife, the hard-hit capital of Pernambuco, on Monday morning.
