There were 83,662 vacant homes in Ireland last month according to figures compiled by GeoDirectory.

That's the equivalent of one in eight homes left empty The northwest region is worst affected - with Mayo, Roscommon, and Donegal all recording high vacancy rates, at 11.2%, 10.7%, and 9.4% respectively.That was closely followed by Kildare at 1.3%.
