Mortified mum left in tears after family thrown out of pantomime by security

A humiliated mum was left in tears after she and her family were rudely booted out of a Mother Goose panto performance by security guards. John Goddard, 35 said he had purchased a £50 voucher for his wife on Valentine's Day last year to put towards theatre tickets and the parents decided to use it to go see the family-friendly show.

John told the Liverpool ECHO: "We were really looking forward to this, my wife had a really tough labour and recovery and I thought this would be a really lovely treat for her. We really looked into booking the tickets and checked the terms and conditions to make sure we could take our baby along. The conditions on the AMG website read "babes in arms shall be admitted free of charge to those events they may attend ". However the dad's lack of compliance led to security being called out and the family were forced to leave their seats.

"That's a lie, as Sir Ian McKellen himself said on ITV that babies as young as four months old have been going to the show." The family were issued a refund and John said they are looking to file a formal complaint.
