On the back of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rising cost of living crisis a number of restaurants have had no other choice but to shut. As well as struggling with rising expenses of equipment, produce, and bills, many previously keen restaurant goers have had to cut back due to their rising household bills.

Năm Sông Popular Leeds eatery Năm Sông has shut its doors following "incredibly tough times". The news was announced on August 29. The announcement appears to confirm the closure of Chiquito at Junction 27 in Birstall, as the restaurant is the only Chiquito currently open in the Leeds area.
