Mostly Dry Monday Before Conditions Turn More Autumn-Like Later in the Week
Ireland, Met Éireann, Weather Forecast

Met Éireann forecasts a mostly dry Monday with sunny spells and temperatures up to 19 degrees, but conditions are set to turn increasingly unsettled through the week with rain, drizzle and breezy winds developing.

Monday is set to bring a mostly dry day across the country, featuring sunny spells and temperatures reaching up to 19 degrees, according to Met Éireann.

However, while the day is expected to begin with just a few isolated showers, cloud cover will gradually increase as the day progresses. More persistent showers are forecast to develop later in the afternoon and evening, particularly affecting the western provinces of Ulster and Connacht. As evening turns to night, conditions in western and northwestern counties are expected to become cloudy and damp, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

Elsewhere across the country, the night is likely to remain generally dry, accompanied by clear spells. Lowest temperatures are forecast to range between 10 and 14 degrees, with a light to moderate southwesterly breeze prevailing. As the working week continues, the overall outlook points toward rather unsettled conditions, with occasional rain or showers expected and breezy periods developing at times. Tuesday is forecast to begin mostly dry across the eastern half of the country, with sunny spells early on.

However, cloud will build everywhere as scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle push eastward, with the rainfall turning heavier later in the day, especially in western areas. Low cloud and mist are also likely to form in various locations. Highest temperatures on Tuesday will range from 16 to 19 degrees, accompanied by a light to moderate southwesterly breeze.

Tuesday night is expected to be quite wet in places, with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy at times, particularly across western and northern regions. Conditions will be mild and humid, with lowest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees. It will also be rather breezy, with mostly fresh southwest winds, strong and gusty at times along Atlantic coasts.

Wednesday is forecast to be another breezy day, with lingering overnight rain quickly clearing northern areas to leave a mostly dry day with sunny spells. There may be some well-scattered showers, but overall conditions should improve. It is expected to be warmer than previous days, with highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees, accompanied by fresh southwesterly winds. Looking ahead to Thursday, the day is expected to be breezy with sunny spells and scattered showers.

Highest temperatures will range from 17 to 21 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds. Later in the day, more general rain may move in across the country after dark, continuing the unsettled theme into the latter part of the week
