Six-year-old Ella McLaughlin and her mother Natalie sadly died after being involved in a road collision on Wednesday, while Natalie's partner and their two-year-old daughter remain in hospital
The mother and daughter who died in a car accident in Donegal have been named locally as Ella McLaughlin, six, and Natalie McLaughlin, who was in her 20s.
"Natalie worked in the local doctor's surgery in Carndonagh and was well known by people coming in and out to the surgery daily. The little girl went to school in Carndonagh. The Fianna Fáil councillor added that incidents happen "too often here in Inishowen" and that community "just can't get our heads around why these type of accidents keep happening".
