The change could come in next month

In response to the cost of living crisis, we saw the government cut fuel duty in 2022. However, this will expire at the end of the month which means motorists could see fuel prices increase in March.

Thankfully, for many motorists, we’ve seen fuel prices steadily fall over the UK in recent months. For example, in January, fuel prices were at their lowest level since Russia's invasion of Ukraine a year ago.On average, petrol prices in January were down by 3p per litre. By the end of the month this averaged at 148.89p per litre. Average diesel prices fell even more sharply, down 4p per litre. By the end of the month it was down to around 170.37p per litre.
