Mountain rescue teams scour Scots coast for missing man after car found abandoned
Mountain rescue teams have been scouring coastline in the Highlands in the search for a missing man whose car was found abandoned by police.The Assynt Mountain Rescue Team were pictured checking cliffs and the water for Roderick at the weekend. Mercy crews - including police, coastguard and lifeboat teams - carried out an extensive search, however he was not traced.
Sergeant Jonny Wilkin, of Thurso Police Office, urged anyone who recognises Roderick or has information on his whereabouts to come forward. "Thanks also to RNLI Thurso Lifeboat Station and Maritime and Coastguard Agency's Rescue 151 helicopter from Inverness who both assisted on previous days." “We are appealing for anyone who recognises Roderick or has information regarding his whereabouts to please come forward. We would also urge Roderick to please get in touch with someone to confirm that he is okay.”
