In a separate development, Mr Johnson has insisted he will fight to retain his Uxbridge and South Ruislip seat, which he held in 2019 with a 7,210 majority, despite reports claiming that he could askDuring his visit to Scotland yesterday, Mr Sunak said: “I think the former prime minister has declared his intention to stand in his current seat in Uxbridge.”

Mr Sunak did not offer any specific comment on the donation from Christopher Harborne to the Office of Boris Johnson Ltd, recorded in the latest update to the MPs’ Register of Interests.
