MTU's Cork campuses will close today and tomorrow due to what is described as a"significant IT breach and telephone outage".

In a statement posted on the MTU website, MTU vice president Paul Gallagher said that all classes, full-time and part-time, are cancelled today Tuesday 7 February and tomorrow Wednesday 8 February. "This includes Bishopstown, NMCI, Crawford College of Art & Design and the Cork School of Music," the statement read."We have taken this precaution to allow us to fully assess the situation and protect our systems," according to the statement.Munster Technological University is a multi-campus technological university, with six campuses across the South-West region in Cork and Kerry.
