Later today US Attorney General William Barr is due to release a redacted version of the Mueller report.On the issue of collusion, Donald Trump was cleared.Quoting directly from the Mueller Report, Mr Barr said that the Special Counsel's investigation "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
Mr Barr said that the evidence outlined in Mr Mueller's report was "not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offence." The president’s political opponents highlighted the fact that the Attorney General, who decided not to pursue charges or a follow-up investigation, is a Trump appointee.
It’s not clear if these questions will be answered with the release of the Mueller report later today because the publication will be redacted.
