Managing Director of the REA, Barry McDonald and Author & Social Policy Professor Rory Hearn were speaking with Alan Hughes and Muireann on Ireland AM this morning about the troubling state of the current market
Muireann O'Connell has shared a candid insight into her struggle to find a home to buy in the current housing climate.
Muireann confirmed that she has been looking for a house to buy for the past two years with her partner. However, the search for her forever home hasn't been easy, and she has had to take breaks along the way.She said: "I was speaking to an estate agent recently and he has been in the game for over 20 years, and he said this is worse than he has ever seen it - forget the Celtic Tiger.
She also shared that in her discussions with estate agents, they told her that in some areas homes are going for 120,000 to 150,000 above what the area is worth in Dublin, with the same issue happening regionally too.
