Muireann O'Connell has said moving to Ireland AM from The Six O’Clock Show in September 2021 was a baptism of fire.
She said: "I was overwhelmed to be asked to present Ireland AM because I grew up watching it. I never thought I’d present it. "It’s only a chat. People get lost in Tommy’s eyes and they’ll say what they want . They want to impress him!" "That’s when I realised how much of a legend he is, people were saying, 'Oh my God, there’s Tommy Bowe' and the amount of people taking pictures of him. People really wanted to be near him. We realise what we have done to an Irish legend, making him play with sex toys. It’s an honour!
