BREAKING: A mum whose two children died in a house fire has also been killed by the blaze. Police have confirmed that 28-year-old Fatoumatta Hydara, who was seriously injured in the arson attack in Nottingham, has now died.
A 31-year-old man from Clifton was arrested on Sunday night and remains in custody. Police have been awarded an additional 36 hours to interview him.
Mr Drammeh, who arrived at the scene at around midday yesterday after flying back from the US, told the Steven Davies, 54, who lives in the property below, said: ‘I woke up and the building was on fire. I saw the police drag out the little ones. The smoke was terrible. The kids would have had no chance. The lady who lives there was really kind. The children were lovely. They were normal little kids.‘This is just a malicious act, and whoever did it deserves what they are going to get.’‘I was actually awake when it was all happening but I was watching a film in bed with my headphones on.
‘But obviously it was too late. It’s a tragedy – I’ve got grandchildren myself and to see that was just awful.
