The mum posted on Reddit to say she and her husband love 'funky' spellings of otherwise normal names and gave examples of calling a child 'Saylor' instead of Sailor and changing the common name Kylie to 'Kiely'. She said: 'How do we feel about funky spellings of names? As mentioned previously, my baby girl is due in six months and my husband loves Kiely as an alternate spelling of Kylie. I love Saylor as an alternate spelling of Sailor. 'Am I damning my child to mispronunciation and misspelling of her name forever? Is it in bad taste to name my kid a name with a goofy spelling?
