Mum of man murdered 14-years-ago makes emotional plea for information to help catch killers
The heartbroken mum of a man murdered 14-years-ago has made an emotional appeal for information she hopes will help put the killers behind bars.He was shot dead on October 28, 2005, four days after serving part of a two-year sentence for possessing a Mossberg pump action shotgun, which he had apparently been storing for more serious criminals.
She added: “All I can remember is slapping my head off the table. The garda put his two hands under my head from stopping me hurting myself."She lost her three-year-old son Michael who was accidentally electrocuted at their home in 1986.She admitted the pain of losing her two sons and husband has been “hell”.While acknowledging his criminal past, Nunan’s family also argued he had been trying to cope with the loss of his older brother and father.
She added: “My dad passed away when I was four and David was my father figure growing up because we had no other males in the family. I worshiped the ground he walked on.” “Whatever bad things he did, there’s worse out there. As my mother always said to him, ‘You do the crime you pay with your time’. That’s what he did.”
