A mum-of-five from Dublin has recalled her experience of finding herself homeless twice and her gratitude to Focus Ireland for helping her family when they needed it most.
“I didn’t have any family support so I suppose that’s why I stayed in the relationship longer than I should have.” “I was really trying to hold it together for my kids because they were worrying and asking a lot of questions.” The support worker connected Kelly-Anne and her family with domestic violence services which helped them “get back into some normal living”.
“It’s not about giving the homeless a roof over their heads, they need emotional support, stability, they need to know they have support.
