The Reds have agreed one-year deals with John Ryan and Fionn Gibbons as the business end of the current campaign gets underway

Veteran Munster prop John Ryan has agreed a one-year contract extension as he closes in on 250 caps for the province.

The Corkman, who has 24 Ireland caps, played at the 2019 World Cup after playing his part in the 2018 Grand Slam success. He has featured in 15 games for Munster so far this season. Meanwhile, Ireland under-20s Grand Slam winner Fionn Gibbons will be promoted to the senior Munster squad from the academy at the end of the season on a one-year development contract.

It's a timely boost for the 22-year-old, who returned to training this week after recovering from a long-term knee injury that has kept him sidelined so far this term.
