The province are on a three-match winning streak in the URC and come into this match on the back of a 10-point victory over Ospreys last weekend
Munster were the firm favourites as they welcomed Cardiff to Thomond Park on Saturday evening in the United Rugby Championship.
Cardiff, on the other hands, had lost their last five matches in the URC. The Welsh side, though, gave Munster plenty of problems. A Jack Crowley penalty was the only score in the first half before Jack Crowley used dancing feet to score the first try in the second half. Munster responded quickly with a try from Tadhg Beirne, but they were never able to kill off a gallant Cardiff side.
