Gardaí investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body on Sunday afternoon
Gardaí have launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of the body of a woman in her 80s in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
Ms Ray’s remains were removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem on Monday when Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Yvonne McCartney confirmed that the woman’s death was suspicious. A senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the investigation while a Garda Family Liaison Officer has also been assigned to support the family of Ms Ray who was well known in the community in Nenagh.
