Man is arrested after woman dies and man is seriously injured at residence near BallyconnellGardaí have opened a murder investigation after a woman’s body was found at a residence in a rural area near Ballyconnell,
Gardaí were alerted to an incident at about 9.30pm, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to Cavan General Hospital for a postmortem.Another man was arrested at a separate location, and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda station in the Co Cavan area.
Anyone who travelled in the area of Kilnavert, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, last night, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, is asked to provide any available camera footage.
