Detectives have issued a description of the pair spotted fleeing the scene in the early hours of Monday morning, and have appealed to the public for information.
The death of a man in Renfrew is now being treated as murder as police have launched a hunt for two men.
The men are described as both being white, with one wearing a dark tracksuit and dark trainers, and the other a light grey or khaki jacket with dark trousers and dark trainers. Police Scotland are asking anyone who was in the town centre between midnight and 3am to get in touch and assist with their enquires.
