Mum-of-three Kate Hamilton completely overhauled her life and her mindset when she fell in love with fitness - even leaving her job as a primary school teacher to become a fitness coach
After going through a time of struggling with her mental health and self-worth, her self-esteem is no longer tied to her looks as she completely overhauled her mindset. Over the course of this journey, she lost over three-and-a-half stone.
After having her first two children, Kate discovered a fitness influencer online and realised that in order to make a sustainable change, she needed to adapt her lifestyle. “When I was pregnant with my third child, I realised how bad my all-or-nothing thinking was,” added Kate. “That was where most of the weight crept on because when I found out I was pregnant, I told myself it would be my active pregnancy – but I felt so unwell that it just didn’t happen. And when it didn’t happen, I started to feel worse, and I decided, ‘Ah feck it, I’ll just start fresh after I have the baby’.
With this change of mindset, healthier nutrition clicked with Kate instead of restricting certain foods or relying on fad diets.
