An Irish artist based in Belfast, Laura Callaghan is an illustrator best known for her colourful images bursting with detail and character

. Her most recent exhibition, called Apocalypse Chow, saw the artist create an immersive installation and series of dinners imagining what a feast at the end of the world would look like. Here she tells us more about her creative inspiration.No, I actually had a place on a primary school teaching course but deferred it last minute to work on a portfolio for an art school application. I wasn’t really aware of all the career routes there were in the creative field until I was in college.
