Jay Slater, from Lancashire, went missing in Tenerife more than two weeks ago after staying at an Airbnb in the north west of the island and now a man who he was with at the accommodation has spoken out
A man who was at the Airbnb where Jay Slater stayed on the night before he disappeared has spoken out about meeting the missing British teenager.
The 19-year-old, from Lancashire, disappeared after leaving an Airbnb in the village of Masca, where he had stayed with two men after leaving a nightclub in the south of Tenerife. He spoke to a friend Lucy Law on his mobile on the day of his disappearance to say he was attempting to walk back to the south, a journey that would have taken about 11 hours, before his phone battery died, reports The Mirror.
The 31-year-old, who booked the Airbnb under the name of Ayub Abdul, has already spoken to Spanish police along with another man. The pair are understood to have stayed in Tenerife for another day after Jay disappeared to talk with police who have previously said they were “irrelevant” to the investigation.
