In a development that has brought closure to an enduring mystery dating back 50 years, experts believe they have now located the wreckage of a private plane that disappeared on a snowy night in Vermont, carrying five people.

The discovery of the plane has brought a mix of relief and renewed grief for the families involved.
Back in spring 1971, remnants of the aircraft surfaced on Shelburne Point, as reported by Kozak. An underwater expedition in May 1971 failed to locate the crash site. "Everybody had pieces of the pie and the puzzle that when we started sharing information and documents, what we got was a much greater understanding and perspective of the information, how we were all impacted by this," he explained. Williams praised Kozak as a hero for his unwavering dedication to finding the plane.
