Newark school officials have not ruled out lifting the mask mandate for students and teachers before the Sept. 6 start of classes, a spokeswoman said.
However, officials in the state’s largest school district haven’t ruled out lifting the mask mandate for Newark’s nearly 38,000 students and 6,000 staff members before the first day of classes Sept. 6.
