Elida Ofelia Medina-Ramos, 73, of East Harriet Avenue in Palisades Park, is charged with aggravated manslaughter, unauthorized practice of medicine and child endangerment. “An investigation conducted by detectives that administered medical care to a child, which resulted in the child’s death,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a statement.Palisades Park police responded to a 911 call about 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, 2021, reporting that the 11-month-old was having “a medical episode.” Arriving officers found the baby unconscious and not breathing, the prosecutor said.
