A second woman has been arrested in relation to the incident that occurred at an apartment on Commons Road in Navan, Co Meath between 5pm and 6pm.
She is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the Meath region.
In a statement to this paper, An Garda Siochana said: “Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault which occurred at a domestic residence on Commons Road, Navan, Co. Meath on Saturday, August 26.“A woman has been taken to our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda to be treated for her injuries. “Another woman has been arrested in relation to this incident. She is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the Meath Region.
