Put together, the evidence suggests Neanderthals were not afraid to tackle more fierce beasts when out hunting. And after the kill, it seems our early relatives made the most of the leftovers. In recent years it has become known that Neanderthals wore animal pelts, perhaps fashioned into capes or simply draped over their shoulders.
