Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Edenfield said three-month old Lila was brought in as a stray via a vet this morning
A "beautiful" bulldog pup who has been neglected by his owners is facing a "long road back to health".They are asking for donations to help towards Lila's treatment. Anyone who can support the appeal will be issued updates on Lila's recovery and how the money is being spent on nursing her back to full health.A Bleakholt spokesperson said: "This is a desperately sad case. This morning, three-month old Lila was brought in as a stray via a vet.
"She is a beautiful bulldog but she has been neglected and it's going to be a long road back to health for her. We, of course, will take care of her and we know times are difficult but if anyone can donate towards Lila's treatment, it will be a big help. "We will post updates every week or two so you can see how Lila is doing and how the money is being spent on nursing this beautiful girl back to full health."
Responding to the post on the sanctuary's Facebook page, one person said: "Very sad. People shouldn’t have dogs if there can’t look after them."
