Neighbours said they heard cries for help in the middle of the night
Neighbours recalled hearing cries for help in the middle of the night as a man was hospitalised after a serious assault in The Meadows. Police were called to the Barra Mews after reports of an assault at around 11.50pm on Wednesday, June 29.
A mum-of-two who lives close by said she could hear someone "crying for help" during the night. "There was a crying noise, a boy was crying for help," the 33-year-old recalled. "The kids were sleeping and there was too much noise so I closed the window. But I don't know what happened. I'm scared because it's not good." She added her young children are also scared.Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said she heard similar.
