NET launches new scheme for summer holidays where customers pay £1 each
Tram-users received some uplifting news today after NET announced a Family Group Ticket will be launched for the school summer holidays. The new plans allow a group of eight to travel for as little as £1 each per day.
The offer will mean that two adults and up to six children can travel together across the network all day at a rate of £8 from Monday, July 25, to Wednesday, August 31. The NET Group Ticket usually allows one or two adults and up to three children to travel for £8. Families looking to purchase the ticket should visit the NETGO! App, visit a Travel Centre or use the ticket vending machines at any stop. With the cost of living crisis still putting a strain on households and disposable income NET has launched the scheme to help families who "are feeling the impact of petrol prices."
Alison Sweeney, Tramlink Head of Marketing said: “We know families are facing a lot of pressure and different cost increases and we want to help where we can. Many families are feeling the impact of petrol prices, and as schools start to break up, finding affordable ways to get around this summer will only become more challenging.
“The tram is not only a green way to travel, helping Nottingham achieve its goal to be carbon natural by 2028, but it is also affordable, accessible, and reliable. This new Family Group Ticket will allow a group of eight to travel for as little as a pound each and will mean more people can enjoy their summer and everything Nottingham has to offer.”
