Viewers have criticised Netflix true crime drama Maxine, saying 'no one needed' a show about Maxine Carr.
The programme tells the story of the woman engaged to Ian Huntley, who was responsible for the Soham murders in 2002, killing two 10-year-old girls - Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
The drama, which is currently available to stream on Netflix, has been the focus of much online attention And the final instalment shows court proceedings revealing the truth about Huntley's involvement in the killings, and Carr's response. Another said: 'Watching #maxinecarr on #Netflix & I refuse to feel sympathy for her. I remember this as if it were yesterday & watching her smugly lying on TV. She willingly helped him cover his tracks & is not a victim. Those 10 year old girls, Jessica & Holly were the victims, along with their families.'
