The couple is seeking a preliminary injunction to exclude what they say is unauthorized footage in the series. Footage of the Baskins was used in the trailer for the show. Netflix and the production company said in an earlier court filing that previous agreements signed in 2019 allow the companies “to use the footage in later projects.” They added that Ms. Baskin “became a pop-culture phenomenon” and “embraced the publicity.”
