Gary Neville takes aim at the Glazers after it emerged they could sell a stake in the club to Apollo MUFC
Gary Nevillehas angrily taken aim at the Glazer family after it emerged the Manchester United owners are considering selling a stake to US investment fund Apollo.
The New York-based private equity group were in discussions with the Glazers about taking a minority stake in in the club.Talks between the Glazers and Apollo are ongoing, but the latter is keen to see how much they would receive for their shares, given no fresh money is expected be used moving forward.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Neville wrote: “If the reports are true that the Glazer Family are ready to part sell ahead of a full sale, it’s totally unacceptable that this is to a US investment fund.He continued: “The US model of sports ownership is all about significant return on investment .“The ownership model in England needs to change and US money is a bigger danger to that than any other international money.
