The DWP has confirmed 1.6 million payments have been made daily since October 31.
New data published by the Department for Work and Pensions indicates that 1.6 million £300 cost of living payments have been made daily since the window opened on October 31. Payments will continue to land in bank accounts automatically until November 19, so if the money hasn’t arrived yet, there’s no need to worry.
An estimated 8 million people will receive the £300 payment before it closes on November 19. The money will be paid into the account where the benefit is usually paid and appear as either ‘DWP COL’, or ‘HMRC COLS’, along with the claimant’s National Insurance number. Qualifying benefits for £300 cost of living payment This will be paid to eligible households receiving the following benefits:
Universal Credit ‘nil awards’ You will not be eligible for the £300 cost of lLiving Payment if your Universal Credit is reduced to £0 for the qualifying assessment period - often referred to as a ‘nil award’.
