It's going from 'strength to strength'
The developers behind a £30 million Nottinghamshire business park say it is going from 'strength to strength' as two more retail units are set to arrive there. Teal Park, based off the A612 Colwick Loop Road between Netherfield and Stoke Bardolph, is already home to a branch of Birds Bakery.
Valley CiDS charity shop, supporting children, young people and families through its outreach work, is planning to open a 2,000 sq ft premises before Christmas. Pizza Triangle, a national chain which already has branches in Newcastle, Solihull and Walsall, will then open its first Nottinghamshire restaurant in the new year at Teal Park.The park was jointly developed by Warwickshire-based AC Lloyd Commercial and Nottingham-based Henry Davidson Developments .
Teal Park is next to the vast new Rivendell housing development, where 807 houses are eventually planned to be built, with the development having been described as a 'mini-city' by a council leader. As well as the hundreds of homes already built, a primary school and care home are already operating at the site.
Rivendell is a realm of Middle-earth, the setting of the Lord of the Rings books, whilst Tolkien often visited his aunt's farm in the Jessops Lane area of Gedling, around two miles from the development. Speaking about the new retail units, Richard Croft, the director at HDD, said: "We are delighted the local centre is fully let and that we have a mix of local and national occupiers across Teal Park.
